Leading With Heart
I had the pleasure of being interviewed by one of the bravest, most authentic and talented 20 year olds I have the pleasure of knowing. Rae du Soleil is an artist with a mission of creation for connection and promotes courage, vulnerability, empathy, and empowerment through music. She also happens to have her own podcast called Inevitable Shit!
She pulled out some of the deeper and more intimate parts of my story…like only a gifted and authentic 20 year old can! The headline she gave our podcast is ‘Leading with Heart’ and how our sense of worthiness affects how we work, dream, parent, lead, and simply exist in this world.
For those interested in listening in our intimate conversation, follow the link below. I’ve also included some highlights. I know we have A LOT we can be listening to so its important for us to all pick wisely!

Here are some highlights:
— How my work in the space of leadership started — might not be where you think it was!
— What we learn from being in a safe and enriching community around how to show up in the world at large.
— The meaning behind my main message in my work — If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
— A call to action for our soul’s desires, even if we weren’t taught how to listen to them in our own growing up lives.
— Some of us are really lucky to already be tuned into our soul but many have lived in their heads, doing what logically made sense or looked right.
— Knowing that each person is put on this earth to foster unique and important work and the sense of urgency around that.
— Sometimes we have to get uncomfortable when we are waking up to our soul. The more we have lived in our heads, the harder this may be.
— The moments when I have most woken up to my soul and what work blossomed.
— As my soul got quiet and my body got physically more still, my own personal wounds I needed to heal to truly do my best and most authentic work.
— How we can take hard things and build them into our work. What touches our heart most with pain, is also where our potential to connect with others lives.
— What was different about my spiritual calling to do mother-daughter work and how I moved into that space.
— The importance of claiming your whole story — the light and dark parts.
— Most relationships have the capacity for healing and how healing our own wounds can heal the wounds for generations to come.
— Why authentic social connection is so important and how much we ALL need it.
— What I’m most grateful for in my work. A lot!
— Hear what my big authentic vision is for a future chapter of my working life.
— How important it is to know that when we are dreaming, we are dreaming from a foundation that we are already enough. This is what gives us both the permission and the strength to keep dreaming.
— What I would tell my younger self now — that she is safe, loved, with nothing to prove.
— How important it is to live in the light and the dark. In that lightness and darkness, not only is it right to be with both, but you have the capacity in you to deal with whatever it is they each want to teach to you.
